After watching my "mooring" on the lake drag about 300' just narrowly missing several other moored boats, we jumped aboard and took advantage of the stiff winds. As my son is recovering from a broken femur that happened only a few weeks ago we kept her tame with a triple reef and no jib and still managed to hit 19mph (on the ocean we use nm units but on lakes, gps is set to mph).

The big advantage to the lake was very little fetch thus small waves measured in inches; great for high speeds.
