On our way south in 2007 we stopped in 'Puerto Escondido Mexico'.
Puerto Escondido is a really nice town with a great family waterfront and small anchorage. Directly behind the anchorage is 'The Mexican Pipeline'. Surfers from around the world stop by the surf village and try they're luck on the large fast curls.
The anchorage is a bit scary as you can feel the concussion and sound of waves slamming behind you. A bit of a roll and it's a quite unnerving. After a couple of days you get used to it.
