Yeah, but they've already sailed more races than ever before... (grin)

Hi Mark,

OK, you'll be happy to hear, I've done pretty much a complete 180 on the views I expressed last week - in no small part due to your own efforts to make us better appreciate the incredible subtleties and complexities in racing these boats... Once this series really got going, these races have been fantastic, and I've enjoyed watching them immensely...

I'd be happy to see them race cats again next time... I would hope they could figure a way to make the boats suitable for the prevailing conditions of the venue, that cancellation of yesterday's race was incredibly disappointing, something we just shouldn't see at this level of racing... And, I'd still rather see more weather legs, that's been one of the biggest surprises after the boredom of the LV series, how competitive the upwind sailing has been, and I'm still not sure why a more traditional upwind start is not a possibility in these boats, I think they've proven to be capable of sailing a more traditional Olympic-style course...

I'm pulling for the Kiwis, but you've really got to hand it to Team Oracle, they've really hung tough, improved with each race, and made a real match out of it...

best regards,

Jon
