We only take it off for winter storage. It weighs at least 100 pounds with the battens in, and so we lower it (bundled with sail ties) to the ground with the halyard after we've been hauled out. Then I spread out big tarps over the pavement and remove the battens, fold the sail.

We can fold the genoa on one net... we lower it onto the center hull and lay it out in folds on one side net.

You have to pick your days for calm weather.
