That's a tough way to go. They're obviously figuring on 40 mile average days and allowing time to see the sights. Don't forget to pack your Halloween costume.

I'm not anti-social but moving in a group like that would be just awful, IMHO. Don't people go cruising to get away from crowds?

Also, as a practical matter wouldn't everyone want some flexibility to go a comfortable pace for their boat and crew? The boat that cruises at 8 knots wouldn't want to hang back for one that tops out at 6. And what about when conditions are right to sail and/or jump outside? Schedules are for power boaters, and group schedules are for power boaters with similar boats. Any time I make a reservation for a mooring or slip I can't even tell them on the phone what time I'd be there the same day (if sailing, and that's what we do whenever possible).
