Yeah, whether you launch 120 at once or individually, you'll have a number of rescues.

Launching the 120 into a weather forecast that changes(forecasting isn't guaranteed), could cause a demand that CG resources may not be able to handle. In that case, participants may have to pick up the backlog. You can't bring most of these boats back anyway(as your solo SC 39 example). At any rate, Rallys look like they're here to stay.
