As opposed to an anchor bridle? Why not hitch a couple of nylon rode lengths to any tow using a rolling hitch or Prussic knot?

I carry two 18ft x5/8" bridle legs and dyneema loops to tie them to my rode with Prussic knots. Would use those on a tow line just as well, I think. The boat sits pretty still with a bridle.
