suggesting you go Sunday night, but when I read the Monday reports, was happy I didn't. But, it all worked out ! As I said, you can pretty much always add 5 knots of wind and 2-3 feet of wave height to whatever Chris says it'll be in the Stream. Nice to hear you made it safe & sound. And like you say, now you are free to do whatever you want, you're in the Pond and all is well. That store on Spanish burned down about 10 years ago and is relatively new. We cleared in there once as well. They have a nifty little restaurant & bar over on the Ocean side, not sure if still open or not. If you have time, a dinghy ride to the little islands & Cays north of you is fun … and good fishing.
Marsh Harbour can be lots of fun for Christmas, we have spent several there, lots going on. Each island will have a different event each night … On Gauna, all the restaurants will be sampling different foods to try; Hopetown for fireworks; MH for Junkanoo; it's like a week long event. The best part if there probably won't be many boats there, getting a mooring in HT won't be an issue.
It's 5 degrees here and I'm jealous. GOOD MORNING ABACO !!! Have fun, cheers, John
