It looks safe enough to me with proper training and safety gear (rocket propelled parachute in case of catastrophic kite failure) . If you want dangerous, try something like cave diving. I do extensive wreck diving but cave diving ALWAYS involves death even amongst experienced, well trained divers. However, you always hear stories like this one which are absolutely tragic.

- Someone was giving rides in one in BVI last time I was there.

  - Retractable landing gear part of the package; It's a trike and all three wheels have a well in the hull
