It uses 2.7 amps as a freezer when running and keeps ice cream rock hard. Turn it into a frig and it uses a lot less. We love it. It's great for a backup if the main one goes out.

Mostly we use it for drinks so we don't need to open the main frig. We also use it to store frozen food when provisioning or for those instances when we catch a big tuna or mahi-mahi and need a place for more than we expected.
