In Response To: Camper van query. Rental? ()

the boat is sitting in the marina in Lagos, Portugal for the winter. Makes touring in the camper van a bit damp and chilly (England in the winter???) but it does have some advantages. The sights are much less crowded; we like museums and historic sights. There are no lines and you can see the paintings in the art museums instead of just a crowd of people in front of a painting as it would be in the summer.
We took a fellow cruiser's advice and bought and registered the camper van in Portugal, where an American can do this with no problem. Apparently not so in most other European countries.
Here is another picture, the world's biggest ship in a bottle, at the British Maritime Museum. It is a model of Nelson's flagship, Victory, and that's me to provide some idea of how big the ship and bottle are. You may notice that it is cloudy and spitting rain.
