I was thinking of a small plastic project box from radio shack mounted close to the distribution panel... insert the male USB charger unit through the face, and I suppose I'd solder the 12 guage wires to the plug, and include the fuse inside as well... would that work? Or should I scavenge a lighter socket from the junkyard and put that in the box instead, allowing for switch out to other USB plug adapters in the future?
