Still, this was a highly irregular failure, no other Open 60 or VOR boat has ever "broken in two" like that, and I still strongly suspect that the cause of the failure might be traced to the repair made to the boat after she was holed, abandoned, and subsequently salvaged after a collision with a UFO in a race in 2011...
