OF 6 F. THE PREVIOUS RECORD WAS 10 F IN 1934. THIS IS THE
COLDEST READING SINCE IT WAS 5 DEG ON JAN 19, 1994.

It wasn't that cold here at the marina, but there was a thin layer of ice on the water for the first time. By noon I got around to measuring the sea water temperature at 36F. Hard to believe that the forecast is for the high 60s on Sunday. But at least it was sunny enough today (and a balmy 35 or so) to get the mizzen bent on, test the emergency tiller, begin some of the other outside work.
