Cat Cay to Northwest Channel Light kind of at night.

Actually, we left Cat Cay around 1 PM and pulled about 1/2 mile off the road (rumb line) and anchored at 11PM. Woke up the next morning and continued. It was a very nice night with a few boats making their way past us in the distance while we were anchored. It was the first time we had ever anchored with no land in sight and the bottom only 9 feet away. It was almost a full moon and the sky was black but the bank and sand under the boat was reflecting white. There was even a Moon shadow of our hull under us. It was beautiful. I was calling it 'Gods Swimming Pool'.

Our route for the return was just the opposite. Northwest Channel Light and across the Great Bahama Bank to Cat Cay. Waited in Cat Cay for weather and made the crossing to Ft. Lauderdale. We always had 3 feet under us with a 6 foot draft.
