The wife wanted dinner at Ocean Cabin and we were anchored on the sound near Galliot Cut so we went out through Galliot and back in Little Farmers. When we went through Galliot there was a rage and the entire boat disappeared under 4 feet of blue water. It was then that I found out what a rage was.
It was amazing being at the helm and watching your boat disappear with water parting at the dodger almost 7 feet off the water. We were towing the dingy and amazingly it was still behind us. Getting back in Little Farmers was interesting as well, we had to time it flooring it with the headsail out keeping us pointed in the right direction while we surfed through. Exciting as hell and kind of dumb. Terry at Ocean Cabin guided us in through his binoculars. Stayed there for a week on a mooring where you were. Yes, getting back from dinner was a very wet experience.
