The concept of attaching warps amidship is interesting

Leading the drogue lines to abreast the boat's turning point enables the transom to more easily turn, according to the author. If you've ever tried to tow a heavy boat while sitting in a dinghy or runabout you can tell how much easier it is to steer and turn when holding the tow line amidship rather than fastened to the transom. That is a really interesting concept to apply to the problem of steering a boat without a rudder.
