Two shackles both went to the car but in re-reading Hall spars literature (1996) this is pictured as "WRONG" with a line drawn the picture of my set up. Each the outhaul goes to the clew cringle and the car the the clew cringle, as well. After finding the right size shackle it was revealed that this "approved" set up lets the sail ride up and bunch up in a unsightly and messy override.
