Great series of shots. How much do you love your boat? Enough to change the cockpit?

ELIZA is a Ted Hood Little Harbor 36-37 from the early 60's. A greyhound of that era, these were race priority boats. But the micro cockpit, what were you thinking, Ted? Got friends?

Still, I like the wheel forward of many boats of this ilk and the traveler(a later addition) is handy. Many of them were designed to utilized just one huge winch aft for headsails.

But ELIZA must be loved as she got a cockpit remodel last winter. Nice design and craftsmanship. Saved everything, yet re-created the boat with a spacious cockpit. The big old winch had to go and the traveler has moved aft. But her grueling racing days are over, ELIZA is ready for some more relaxing sailing.
