I was curious how things were going to shake out when the boats were all in. It looks as though it was not as bad as expected with such things as engine winterizing but worse than expected with systems. There is a 2006, 2007 and 2008 Hunter 33 on our dock, all lost their hot water tanks. Have also heard of many other issues with anything related to fresh water. Pressurized systems yes, but also a bunch of heating/cooling system malfunctions with pumps and impellers.

I have heard stories from some of the old timers on how they save money reusing antifreeze and other assorted ways of winterizing things. I'm pretty sure this past winter is showing flaws in those plans.

Speaking of old timers, one we talked to in the mountains this past weekend says "things are shaping up this year exactly the way they did last year. Better lay in more firewood."
