I just had a very good customer service experience with them. I needed replacement cables for my Lowrance HDS7 CP, and sent an email to them over the weekend requesting ordering info. Received a response shortly after 9AM Eastern, with instructions to call support and their number. Called support and after a short hold their system said their are 13 callers ahead of me, but that if I'd input my number I'd be called back AND I would not lose my place in the queue. About 25 minutes later, sure enough I was called back by a live person who was helpful. I also had a question about a Simnet NMEA conversion device and (also being a Navico company) he offered to transfer me to Simrad support. With only about 30 seconds of hold time I was speaking with a Simnet support guy who was knowledgeable and answered my question. All on a Monday morning following a long holiday weekend... it surely must have been a peak support request time.
So part 2; was to order the parts from the store.navico.com site -- which was easy with the part numbers he gave me. The parts prices were reasonable, and the shipping charges were also ($6.46 for FedEx Ground). Both parts I needed were in stock too.
I will consider this next time I'm selecting brands.
