Sorry we missed Doug who came through as well. I was actually at Pickering partly because of your photo of the anchorage. We've never been there! So heading toward Hurricane Island last Saturday afternoon, I found the wind on the nose not that much fun... So we swung the wheel and broad reached 180 degrees and the speed put us off Pickering, at the right time to anchor.

Nice hike over to Porpoise Point. The moss under the full Fir canopy was an irridescent green. I forgot my camera! Good anchorage way in there(board up). I'm always amazed at the ferocity of the mosquitoes in the northern bay.
