I've been dreaming of sailing to Hawaii since I was seven.

My dad promised we'd take his boat but that never happened.

I was on a crew to race the Vic Maui way back in the early 80's but the skipper got sick.

I was on another crew to go on a cruising boat and the skipper broke his leg jumping to the dock.

Was on John Buchans crew for a short time and would have gone with them but...... that's a long story that ultimately led to my owning my own boat and never racing again.

Now I've got the boat but not enough time or money to actually sail there. Maybe in a couple of years we'll be able to put it together.

I'm curious mostly about tsunami debris and if you encountered any on the way back?
