Most if not all of the Northeast coast of the US I've traveled, doesn't have many areas where you're boxed out if you get caught in bad weather. On the other hand, most of the east coast of Scotland could be terrifying in a gale if you got caught.

I don't know where that video was shot but it's no where here on the East coast of the US that I've seen.
