Still racing my Mini Cooper in local Autocross events, and sailing the Sonar 23 in our races here at the lake.
I have a reunion next week of Continental Airline employees that I have been working on for a number of months -100 rooms in LAS and a banquet for 160. From 1959 to 1975, Continental Airlines had a male onboard all of their jet flights, called the Director of Passenger Service. And, I was one of the fortunate employees that were promoted to work the on-board position, and flew for 3 years in the job. Absolutely the best job in the whole world!!! As a member of Management, we were onboard as our President Robert Six's representative.
Seeing some discussion here about writing books, I thought I would share this with you. Along with working on the Reunion and Banquet, several of my fellow employees suggested that I work on writing an eBook about the Continental DPS story. So, months ago I started to work on this project. At the present time, I am about 95% completed.....after the banquet, I will ad a few photos from that event and call it good.
I have been using iBooks Author as the program to write the book, and it is very easy to work with. However, you are sort of restricted to where it is available, and what computer you have to have to download (Apple of Course). Or, you can send the eBook as a PDF file, and this is how I plan to email it out to our DPS group.
Later I may get more serious about having the book available to anyone, and on any type of reader. And if I do that, I will rewrite (or copy) over to MS Word, and use Smashwords for distribution. Smashwords has a very good PDF file that you can download that tells all about what service they offer, and the special formatting you need to use to in your book.

Hope all is well with everyone, and I plan to become a more active member again soon. This December it will be 15 years for me with our sailing group here.
