Some years ago, we were in La Paz and the fresh water pump on our Perkins developed a leak. We therefore asked on the morning net if anyone knew of a place in town where I could either buy a new one or get this one rebuilt. Guenter keyed up and said to contact him after the net.
The Reader's Digest condensed version of the story is that Guenter used his car to drive me and my pump down to the place (he wouldn't accept any money for this service) and less that an hour later, I had the rebuilt pump in my hands. I don't remember how much it cost, but it wasn't much.
Thanks again, Guenter wherever you are.
