I admit the rubber bands were not my original idea
In Response To: Thanks Larry the issue with placemats is that it is an extra step ()
I got it from some glasses I saw that were marketed to boaters. Those glasses were plastic and had an indentation for the rubber. All you need is a slight margin at the lower edge of the band, so it makes contact with whatever you place it on.
