Spoke to my buddy you may remember as "The Rudderless Wanderer" The new boat got smacked by Hurricane Gonzalo yesterday.

Jim and Janette are friends of mine who you may recall from last year when they lost their CS36 Viewfinder in the Mid Atlantic when the rudder failed for a third and final time.

Their new boat, was Knocked over in the yard in St Martin.

No word as to how bad the damage is, but his contact in St martin said to call the insurance company.

According to BFMTV (French) two people are missing at sea and five live aboard's are missing. (There are two missing at sea and five others whose authorities have "no news.")

It was only a Cat 1 (locals say it was a 2 in areas) but it almost came out of nowhere. The first notice was on Sunday Oct 12 at 13:50 and it hit St Martin about 11:00 Monday. Not much time to prepare.
