… I have a 6 year old Suzuki 4-stroke 15 HP outboard. Runs great, like this engine. I usually do all the service and lay-up work myself. Ran out of time this spring and had the Shop do some for me in March. When I was winterizing the Engine yesterday, I changed the engine oil and drained off 60 ounces of engine oil, that's 1.9 qts. Did not check the dip stick prior to. Engine Specs in the Manual call for 1.1 quarts of engine oil (without also changing filter). I put in exactly one quart of new engine Oil yesterday and the dip stick then read slightly over the FULL mark on the stick. In the past I've always put in exactly one quart. So, unbeknownst to me I'd been running this engine all summer with nearly twice as much oil as required. I did not notice any issues with the engine, other than it seemed to be a bit more tricky to start this summer than before. Will running this outboard with twice as much oil cause any issues ? Thanks, cheers, John
