"So, what are you gonna do? Watch the VOR at 2:30, or the pre-race for F1 from Austin? Should be a good race, I'm pulling for Rosberg... Though this certainly looks to be Hamilton's year, and I've always admired him, but damn he's turned into a whiny bitch of late, no? "
Hey Jon:
Tough decision but I'll likely go for with F1 as the VOR will be yesterday's news. I'll DVR it to see the VOR this evening. I'm with you in Hamilton. I was ambivalent about Rosberg, but now I'm rooting for him. I saw his father drive a Formula Atlantic car for Fred Opert Racing at Lime Rock in 1978. He was quick as one might expect.
I did worse than get a job, I bought a small business, so I can't even quit. But I did get away to do Newport-Bermuda again this year, and again double handed on my friend's Swan 44. At 70 I think I was the oldest foredeck man in the whole fleet. And we didn't do badly, 7th of 21 in the class on a heavy boat in a light air race. The auto pilot expired with 300 miles to go which made it all the more interesting.
Cheers,
Ron
