That band of lake effect is still pounding Buffalo this morning. Off my back deck this morning the sky over us was blue but you can see that band freight training down the center of Lake Erie headed NE right at downtown Buffalo. It was just getting light so was too dark for my point-and-shoot to get much. On my way to work I could see the clouds turning pink in my rearview mirror as the sun came up, even though the school is up on a ridge I couldn't really get a good shot even if I did bring my camera.

The snow totals in the Buffalo area are now around 70" with another 1-2' predicted by Thursday.
