When it's private property it really depends on a beach. If it's sand or gravel I could land a dinghy (7+ foot tides typical) so long as I stay below the high tide mark. If it's mud or marsh, or a rocky precipice, not so easy to land. We always bag our dog's poop unless it's in our own yard, and pee just disappears. We've tried to get him to relieve himself on a synthetic turf mat on the boat (yes it was "seasoned") but he just won't do it. He's held out as long as 14 hours when we couldn't get him ashore (we try not to go longer than 6 or 7). He's too civilized, I don't know how he does it.
