...heading south. I'll be headed for Salem Or which is about 15 miles south and if I like the trip I may extend it to Albany OR, another 25 miles south. If I'm still happy, well I have enjoyed a stop in Cottage Grove OR and heck, I've been to Medford OR, had an old friend in a home there and used to visit once a month. I'll be towing Jaunty, my camp cruiser, behind the camper van just in case I park near a lake or something.

If Medford works for me, should I make it unmolested, as it were, I'll head for California and see if I make the border. If I do, then I hear there's places farther south to see on I-5 and apparently at some point you can turn left and somehow end up at Lake Havasu in so many hours. What a place THAT would be, eh? Feller on a camp cruiser, 70* temps and perhaps some sun, dark eyed girl mebbe waitin' for me at the end of the run? Or what the hell, blue eyes, brown eyes, hey, who cares at that point!

When I was young I'd head a thousand miles for a good piece of coconut cream pie or some genuine Peking Duck...back before it was Beijing. Now I got three different insurance policies for on the road stuff, cell phone, email, plenty of spare tires and jacks and so on. Hope I got enough.
