Dog gone, that was very cool! Back when I

was about 20 to about 30 I was a member of the San Bernardino County Underwater Search and Recovery Team for the county. Mostly we recovered stolen items that were dumped into the counties lakes but once in a while it was a wreaked car, crashed air plane or drowning victim. If it was winter then, most likely, it meant we were going to do it through the ice as most of the county lakes were in the mountains. Back then dry suits hadn't been invented yet for anything other then Hard Hat diving and I can tell you that diving under ice in a wet suit is not fun! These Coast Guard guys really step up to the plate. I have all the respect for them that anyone could muster up. I could list a dozen deaths I was involved in and everyone was the direct result of stupid. Stupidity, water and dead people seem to go hand in hand. Go figure.
