The view of Penobscot Bay was wonderful yesterday.

Just a little slice of the Northern Bay. The iphone doesn't do justice. This is the top of the Camden Snowbowls new chair lift. The new(used-purchased from Shawnee Peak)triple chair goes to the top of the old "T" bar(anyone remember those?).

Making it to the top of the old T bar was quite a feat, especially for baby boomers on snowboards. Now it's easy. And trails are more plentiful and wider making it look like my wife and I will snowboard through our 60's, at least. I don't see why not. Her mom and dad skied into their 80's, and her Celtic blood loves the cold.

For the use it or lose it camp: My first day, sitting on the snow at the top,...I was nearly unable to bend enough at the waist to buckle my bindings. Yesterday, I hardly groaned(much). That first run was a little dicey, but it comes back quickly. Now I'm rarin' to go. March should be a banner month(it's -10F on my porch right now).
