Ice was gone today south of Smith Point Virginia

in the Bay, but still lots of ice in the creeks.
Walked the dog to the Bay every day since Friday (I'm sitting at the in-laws' while they lap up a week of Florida sun). Interesting to watch the changes in the ice due to wind and/or tide. On a still day, it was almost a sheet, but once wind or waves get going, it breaks up and drifts. A neighbor's dock on the creek has suffered a big heave . . . house is on the market, so I guess that'll knock a couple of Gs off the price.
