Having read Bob's book, that underbody is so - not Bob Perry.

There's no getting around it, that's got all the downsides of a full keel boat(wetted area, less lift than a deep draft dagger). But to my eye, it loses one full keel attribute(at least some will opine); an attached rudder is very strong.

It shows why he is a successful designer. He can give you what you want, and still give you a little of what he thinks you should have.

Bob Perry's boats always have his style, you can't miss it and that's what his customer wants.
