I looked into the GO! last year as a potentially simpler, cheaper alternative to a Sat phone, but the GO! wasn't ready for prime time. I also heard they had some bugs after roll out, no surprise there. But according to the cruiser's report below, they are making progress. I definitely plan to keep an eye on this, it seems like a potential good solution for offshore weather and basic communication once they get the kinks out.

edit: here's a comment from another cruiser using GO! from another forum:
"we have successfully posted an image and text to our blog, posted an update in FaceBook and also viewed Facebook and a few other suggested sites in the Opera Mini browser. Both Iridium Mail and Messaging and downloading grib files worked very well. We did have a Windows networking issue with the Iridium server, but both PredictWind and Sailmail have agreed to write new software to address this."
