If not, what's the best deal for what I need? I've got a trusted 2000 Garmin blue chart chip running in a CP, latest Blue chart on an iPad and the free version of Navionics on an iPhone.

What I would like is a navigation app for the laptop that stays home, unless we were off for several weeks. I like the charter with satellite overlays, broad info.

And what about Active Captain? I find it useful on the iPad in Bluechart, but I'm not using it at home. What's new there?

A well suited laptop navigation program to do research and planning at home. I'm not current with what's new (sonar charting, etc) and I'd like to catch up.
