Version 4.2 for my tablet. It's an off-brand (hisense) so I don't expect any more recent updates. Version 4.4 for my phone (Droid Maxx). I've read that an update to 5.x will be coming soon.
I don't have anti-virus software on either one. Perhaps I should. But I don't use either online very much, so haven't given it much thought.
