A small tribute to a real hero

On April 24, 1895, 120 years ago next Friday a remarkable man and the bravest person in America set sail on what was the first solo sail around the world. Leaving from Boston harbor Captain Joshua Slocum in his hand build ship the SPRAY circumnavigated in three years, two months, two days. "Sailing Alone Around the World" was published in 1900 and was an instant phenomena.
"By waves and wind I'm tossed and driven
And again;
But still my little ship outbraves
The blust'ring winds and stormy waves."
To Joshua Slocum and SPRAY.
Hip Hip Hooray!!!
