I remember when Evans Starzinger talked about Trojans
In Response To: Question on Trojan batteries ()

He had new Trojans installed on Hawk in the U.S and traveled out of the country where a couple of his new batteries had problems. As I remember, he took them to a dealer and found that the warrenty was only good in the U.S.. That would be a factor if the boat will be traveling.

We had 8 Trojans aboard Tropical Dance. When they became wasted after 5 years we replaced them with good comparable batteries and noticed no difference. (Other than saving almost $400.00.)

Personally, my feeling is the salesman is right. Trojans cost more but give you nothing in return.
