Friend took this pic a couple weekends ago, while I was anchored in La Playa Cove during Yachting Cup at SDYC.
Great sailing weekend... sailed down to La Playa in 25-30 knt winds on a Friday... wild and wet trip (should have reefed... put rail in water), anchored. Drank beer and laughed about the trip... my little boat went over 7 knots under sail. Water was crashing over the bow... we were fully doused. Whoo hooo! (BTW ended up with maybe a cup of water in the bilge) (yacht club recorded 36knot gusts)
Raced on Sat and Sunday on J-105, returned to my boat each evening. Sadly low winds for the races.
Motorsailed back to the slip on Monday... timed it just right, was in just before the 25+knt winds hit (would have been right on the nose.)
