The white Dory the boat builder is coasting in. I was so mesmerized by how it was sliding into the docks, I forgot to take a picture. I couldn't see a wake! And his stroke were few and oh so gentle. Like he was coasting on air.
Up close, it's a very simple build(stitch and glue?). One screwed-3 piece- pine frame, transom, bottom, and two planks of plywood(3/8?). Thwarts of raw pine. Online I think it's a Bolger design.
Not a good dinghy, and another person(unless very, very light) would destroy it's performance. But what a lovely, simple to build, delicate rowing boat.
