It was beastly hot. By noon they closed the 5 block long visitors line as it was three hours to board her from the end of the line. I'm in Situate and took an airport car to Boston for a day trip. It was well worth it!
The ship is spectacular. It's crewed by about 12 professionals and 50 about volunteers. All dress in period custume. It's a working ship so there is little by way of explanatory material or signs. Sailors will delight in the tarred hemp rope, the wooden blocks and rigging.
Admission was free.
