We've finally had some hot weather here - afternoon temps getting around 100 F by my thermometer. But a front came through yesterday, and today was just delightful. Made two trips to the dump today with debris from the basement.
Early last week was very humid. I've installed a humidity sensing switch on the exhaust fan in our bathroom - last Monday it came on all by itself, with no one showering. That's humid!
Son and his wife have moved in - at least their bed is here and there's food in the other fridge. They still have more stuff to move and unpack - you know how it goes. Son is here tonight painting. A lot still to do. There are 17 boxes of flooring ready to go down in their living room, which currently has the underlayment from the old carpeting plus numerous pieces of furniture that will have to be moved to install the flooring. Installed a new toilet for them yesterday - clearance to wall = 0, clearance to water shutoff valve = 0. It's in, no leaks, and I christened it.
They are fortunate to have a place to move to before their closing. When we moved here last August, closing on both houses was the same day so moving stuff early wasn't an option. Stuff either went in storage or onto the truck until the closing on the new place.
We're hoping to get up to Maine this summer (or fall - once things settle down) to visit friends - I'd like to add you to the list of folks to visit.
