Hey Larry,

Many of the responses on other forums are praising Oyster for their forthrightness, suggesting this should be the 'model' for how a manufacturer deals with something like this, blah, blah, blah... I'm with you, I just don't see it... Pretty tough to cover up the loss of a multi-million dollar loss of a 90-foot yacht, seems to me they haven't really done all that much more than to simply admit that it happened (grin)

That "not ruling out an impact as the cause" jumped out at me, as well... C'mon, a collision with something significant enough to breach the hull of a 90-footer, one would think the crew would have at least NOTICED that, no?

The one possible exception to that scenario, might have been sideswiping something that carried away one of those sexy twin rudders without too much of a bang...

However, the boat had been across the Atlantic at least twice before, as an 82-footer... Then, this mysterious event happens after she was "extended" (and made uglier, to my eye) to 90 feet... Could be purely coincidental, of course...
