We had one on our Sabre 42, as well as our current J/160.

I'm not sure which model that you have. You can have the pitch adjusted if you can't get up to RPM and speed properly. Some are adjustable in the water -- some require the boat to be pulled.

I wouldn't think there is any advantage with your easily driven hull at changing props UNLESS you have the wrong MAX prop.

At what RPM do you get to hull speed? What is the maximum RPM (I recall you have a Westerbeke?)?
