Being post laminectomy surgery now nearly 3 weeks, I feel so much better, stronger. Up to walking a fairly regular 1.5 mile trek around the Linfield trail and feeling much more steady on my pins now.
Since I'd gone through a similar operation (laminectomy/fusion) last time and got about two years of relief out of it, I actually hope for better this time. The major points of a lifetime of bending, L3/4/5 have been 'worked on'. Kind of like buying a lottery ticket, I have merely rented hope for however long before I have to check to see if it's a winner.
I'll be getting Jaunty out in the river waters a bit soon, I hope. Being only 4' and 5' of headroom, there's bending every time I go below. See how that works out in the short and long term.
