We're at Zimmerman Marine, up Mobjack Bay in Virginia, getting a new raw water pump delivered. (We weren't carrying a spare.) It's a great little boat yard. There's a sign outside the door to the office which reads:
Rules for Visitors
1. Come in and walk around the workshops and look closely at our work. We fired the insurance company that said we couldn't let our customers and visitors into our shops.
2. Ask questions. We are proud of what we do here and would enjoy talking with you about our work.
3. Walk freely around the yard and have a look at the fine yachts we have the opportunity to work on.
This is my kind of place. We have free use of a car for the duration and have been enjoying the nearby town of Mathews.
